On the evening of Sunday, July 10, there was gun violence outside of Westport Ale House. An altercation between patrons began inside Westport Ale House and those involved were quickly escorted outside. The incident escalated off our property and led to gun violence. We would like to commend our 18 security staff members and three police officers for keeping Westport Ale House patrons safe inside our building. The safety of our patrons and staff is our top priority and while our active metal detectors, security staff and police officers prevent guns from entering our establishment, we cannot control gun violence from occurring outside of our building. We are deeply saddened by this incident and remain concerned for those involved. We are cooperating with authorities and stay committed to the safety of all of our patrons and staff.
